TIME OF THE BUTTERFLY  The heart of this album comes from a place of emerging from the past into a place of hope and joy. Being a singer all my life I entered a new season as a first time songwriter. I wasnt skilled at the piano but after hearing songs in my sleep and waking up with melodies ringing in my head, it was undeniable that something new was about to give birth. These songs were born in the secret place, a deep place of intimate worship, a place of being in the tangible presence of the Lord, sometimes even crying for hours as His love and sweetness covered me and filled me like waves as song after song unfolded. I thank God for this amazing journey and for having inspired me and given me the ability to write these songs, whether it was hearing the lyrics or banging out the chords on a toy keyboard with 3 or 4 fingers trying to capture the sounds I heard. This album would not have been possible without my beautiful husband Antonio who gave me the courage to look back at the past without fear and the strength to enter my future with freedom and joy, having always believed in me more than I believed in myself. He never tired of hearing me sing or play for hours, and through his unshakeable amazing love I found the courage to fly in places I didnt think I could fly. At last I had a growing list of original songs, but I was no arranger or producer. At this point Gianmaria Scattolin stepped into the picture, treasured friend, gifted guitarist, arranger, and producer who shaped, polished and transformed these diamonds in the rough into real gems. Without his talent, support and patience this project would not have been complete. After overcoming many dark and difficult moments of my life where I felt like the caterpillar locked in its cocoon wondering if it were possible for me to fly, I discovered that God not only desired for me to fly, but that he created me to fly. He loved me enough to patiently show me the way out of a painful past so that I could finally see the sky and joyfully fly. Through the healing power of His unconditional love and grace I realized that not only had He created the sky for me, but that long ago He had already given me the wings to fly.
